Dawn spent many years in a variety of hospital specialties and became a member of the Royal College of Physicians before joining General Practice in 1995. She currently works part time as a GP in Gloucestershire. She has a particular interest in women's health, family health and preventative medicine.

She also runs specialist clinics in women's health and weight management. Her clinical experience is such that she regularly hosts national conferences and speaks internationally on a variety of medical topics.

She also provides private general practice consultations at the Cheltenham Nuffield Hospital.
